VANCOUVER – Today, BC Liberal Leadership candidate Andrew Wilkinson was pleased to announce Bill Bennett and Shannon Rogers as his leadership campaign co-chairs.
“I couldn’t be more fortunate to have such highly regarded British Columbians commit their time and skills to my leadership campaign, it means a lot,” remarked Wilkinson. “Bill and Shannon will help guide my campaign over the coming months by providing invaluable insight and advice.”
Bill Bennett, recently retired four-term MLA and cabinet minister, joins numerous current and former MLAs from rural British Columbia voicing their support for Andrew. “I have known Andrew for twenty years and I couldn’t think of a more qualified person to keep the free-enterprise coalition strong while broadening the BC Liberal Party’s appeal with rural and urban British Columbians.”
Co-chairing the campaign with Bill, Shannon Rogers brings her impressive business and technology experience, currently as President and General Counsel for Vancouver-based Global Relay. “British Columbia needs a leader who understands that our strength is working together as a province – whether it’s technology, business, or the environment, Andrew has the skills and intelligence to build on our strengths and chart a path to shared opportunity throughout British Columbia.”
“I would like to thank Bill and Shannon for accepting their roles as campaign co-chairs. Participating in the political process is a time-consuming commitment, but is vital to the strong democratic process we enjoy here in British Columbia,” said Andrew.
Andrew will be travelling around the province to hear from British Columbians over the coming months. To learn more, visit www.andrewwilkinson.ca.
